Bed Bug is Their Name; Stealth is Their Game!
Bed bugs are the best hitchhikers and they love to go on trips. Your suitcases, shoes, and containers that are near food sources are great hiding spots for them. Sometimes they’ll be hidden in your bed, in your box springs, behind your baseboards, or even in the furniture. Believe it or not, bed bugs will even hide inside outlets and light switches, picture frames, car, or other shelters. Their basic food group is blood. One of the primary reasons that bed bugs have stealth-like tendencies is that they hide for 5-10 days after a meal. Therefore, people don’t always think that they have bed bugs. Oh, and by the way, during the 5-10 days of hiding, they are reproducing and laying more bed bug eggs. Although bed bugs will not transmit diseases, they do produce itchy, red welts that can cause allergic reactions. Don’t let these little creatures make you their buffet!
